2008. I don't believe people when they tell me they don't watch other people through their windows. Whenever we get into that conversation it soon turnes out that everybody knows what their neighbors look like, how many people live in an appartment, when they are at home etc. But the conclusions we make about their life seem to be much more dependant on the person watching, then on the people being observed. It seems that, just like what we need to be able to understand a language, we need to know a lot about context to be able to understand what is going on. Feeling certain that we know what people are doing and soon realizing it is somebody elses life, we have nothing to do with was an incentive for a series of voyeuristic photographs.
